Younger Days

by Second to None   Oct 8, 2009

When we were young everything was great
We didn't even know the definition of hate
As we grow older things start to change
Our feelings of love are new and strange

Never before did we think of boys
Never before did we think of girls
They change our whole out look of things
What a new life love always brings

When we were young nothing ever mattered
I can hardly remember this now my heart is shattered
We were never ever let down as kids
I remember as tears fall past my eye lids

Happily running in the warm sand filled streets
Swimming at the beach as our heart beats
I hope I have these memories stored for good
As a puddle fills at me feet were I have always stood

Did that come from what i told you?
If it did im glad. I can see those little ripples in the tides the things you lose as you become of age. We gain responsibility not only to ourselves but also other people and when others let us down we feel bad when it should be them who should feel the pain that they deserve. 5/5
