Flaming Spirits

by Poet on the Piano   Oct 11, 2009

Fantasies of the heart are all too often created,
but the ones blessed with sincerity
blossom into times of the present.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

We were waltzing atop the waters of the deep,
emitting breaths of new life as
the shadow dancers spun
droplets of eminent blessings
and waved them toward our path.

Twilight angels wove lustrous silk garments,
resting them silently
on our melded figures
as the ocean nightingale
played upon rolling waves.

Mistress Moon took us under her wings,
chanting of the kindling
between two zealous mortals
and how their ardent love
set the whole world on fire.

I really thought this was written really well, the only problem or thing I disliked about it was the ending 'set the whole world on fire' Two peoples love setting the world onfire isnt as original as it used to be...maybe try something different here. Other than that, another great write. I can see youre expanding your vocabulary...good job!

Romantic, soft and beautiful images this verse made me see, MaryAnne..

slowly but surely you are turning into a woman now and it shows in your work.
I have this feeling your work will keep on gaining in dept and meaning as you proceed...It is so nice to be a witness to it:)

A perfect little gem you made.

Mistress Moon took us under her wings,

    and how their ardent love
set the whole world on fire.

This is indeed how love feels, especially when you are first starting to experience thes feelings, they can be so overwhelming to a young heart:)

    God bless:)
