Ice Princess

by BlueEyedMystery   Oct 12, 2009

This cold, wet rain
Is trying to bring in winter.
It's holding on for dear life.

Winter is a stubborn little thing,
But the daytime warmth is stronger.
So winter goes into hiding.

The sun shines off my pupils.
It melts the winter thoughts away,
But I want them back.

In my heart I've always been-
A little Ice Princess.
No one can warm this icicle heart.

This was wonderful hun. I loved how you related the state of your heart to the coldness of winter. A very clever idea and something I've never read before. I really enjoyed this. The imagery was amazing and really made this poem great. Keep up the good work hun. I love your poems. Nik

    It's good.

I disagree though. I think someone could warm your heart. You have to let them. :)
