I Miss You Like Hell

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Oct 13, 2009

I miss you like hell
But somehow i had to let you know.
That i was sick of holding on
While you were letting go.

I miss you like hell
But this time I'll be strong.
You thought I'd come running to you again
Turns out, i proved you wrong.

I'm not the dreamy little girl you used to know
Running back to you whenever i had the chance.
I'm a real lady right now
I won't be fooled by a whirlwind romance.

But don't you worry, our memories will always be inside
Especially that song we always used to hear.
And the phone conversation that lasted for hours
Your voice always pushed away my fear.

But i finally found strength within myself.
I finally could say I'm through.
Because I thought i was weak when you weren't there.
Until i realized how strong i was without you.

And i miss you like hell.
But this time I'll be strong.
You thought I'd come running to you again.
Finally, i proved you wrong.

I hate small i is does not make you an individual it just shows you are trying to be.
The poem has good structure its message is good but I do not think the poem overall deserves an excellent as for me it is repetitious of so many others I have read on this with the same message which are.

Sometimes we reach the point where we do miss that love but know we are strong and will move on without them. Shows them we can prove them wrong and not go running back. Well done.
