Being Thirteen

by Martha   Oct 13, 2009

An immature, young fellow.;
became strong and mellow;
good shaped and well-mannered;
seeing the result of a parent that cared.

Lots of things has happened...
but as you grow, your mind sharpens;
though some memories of the past forgot,
tries to remember until you never stop

You have sometimes failed...
yet urges to stand and smile.
not that of a baby child
whose eyes cry and not every time mild...

You care to share yourself
precocious in learning--- life.
Though not that so bright
always trying to reach the light.

You've comprehend what's around;
turned out nice, it sounds...
you've learned most and stood;
thus, you'll always learn what's good for you!

    Lovely. And written for your cousin too! How sweet. :)

    Rhyming stands out a bit, but overall, I love the happy effect. Very bright and bursting with feeling. Amazing.
