Color Shift

by Mikaela DLC   Oct 15, 2009

There was nothing she could do,
Life didn't wait,
She wished she could've set him free sooner.
But, she did it a little too late.

A beam of crimson dawn,
Swallowed all of their obscure dreams,
All promises were broken,
As tears ran down her soft cheeks.

Everything burnt into ashes,
She looked right into his bleeding eyes,
It's all over now,
'Twas lost time seeking his demise.

He died with whispered words,
She cried like a helpless child,

His hands touching hers,
She never wanted to let go,
She never thought he'd sacrifice.
