Winter

by Larry Chamberlin   Oct 15, 2009

Winter sends my thoughts South,
Like birds, flying in formation;
To some place near the sun,
Winging to beach and vacation.

But then, who knows how long
I'll have to enjoy each winter,
'fore global warming turns
To burning me to a cinder.
