The End of Life

by facelesspoet   Oct 16, 2009

Close your eyes, end your life.
Thinking tonight you will fly.
Don't you know its not right.
Think of all those you leave behind.
Broken and cold you sat alone.
Thinking of all the times life went wrong.
If I'd known the end were here,
I'd have driven through the night to be near.
The final days of your life,
Did you try to touch someones life?
Tell me did they care?
Did they listen?
Did they give you the attention you thought you were missing?
Tell me why no one knew
That one night you'd tie a noose.
You must have hit a wall with no way past, no way back.
Stuck in a moment you thought would always last.
I guess life for you must have lost its meaning
To the point you said goodnight that evening.
I never thought you'd go this far
You seemed so happy where did life go wrong?
So many questions,
With no definite answers.
All that is left is just a river of tears.
Goodbye for now, I hope I see you again.
Watch over those who struggle on whether or not to make the same decision you did.
