Awkward Thanks

Shy little girl,
quirky yet free.
She felt different,
and doesn't like what she sees.

One day, one word,
one "hey" is all it took.
This girl started to change,
by his simple look.

Realization of what she needs,
he helps her in every way he can.
She has gained a lot,
from this one man.

He became important,
in more than one way.
By her side for a while,
she wanted him to stay.

Everything has an ending,
but sometimes they come too soon.
Emotions held back,
all the way since june.

Repeats of those songs,
after he bared the news.
Songs that remind her of him,
all of this she tries to refuse.

In the long run she notices,
changes for the best.
It's all thanks to him,
but her feelings never addressed.

He became more important,
than her own best friend.
Though he will never know,
cause all good things eventually have to end.
