I am a single mother like no other

by amber desana   Oct 16, 2009

I am a single mother,
I try so hard like no other.
I had my daughter at a very young age,
While working two jobs to raise her at minimum wage.

The decision to keep her I do not regret,
For she makes my life right even when i'm upset.
For I do not know what the future will hold,
I just hope she listens to what she is told.

I am a single mother I am all alone,
I live for the joy my daughter is shown.
Trinity please know you have always held my heart,
Since the moment I held you from the very start.

You have taught me so much,
From the moment I held you and felt you warm touch.
Although I am a single mother and it's very hard,
It cheers me up every year to get your birthday card.

Being a single mother has its times,
It teaches you to value every last nickle and dime.
It has its struggles I have to say,
Yet I love her more each and every day.
