My friend, where have you gone

by Timothy   Oct 17, 2009

1st Verse:
I thought I had nothing good in my life,
I walked that razor-edged knife,
(Not knowing it was so costly);
I cursed you night and day,
Didn't know pain could outweigh,
(All sanity).

Chorus:
My friend, where have you gone,
It's like a sad, sad song,
(My past is haunting me);
I need you by my side,
All I got left is my pride,
(I'm feeling bereaved).
My friend, where have you gone,
Alone, I face the dawn,
(I'm down on my knees);
I need you like never before,
But you're on that distant shore,
(Tell me what's heav-en-ly...)

2nd Verse:
An angry man raged on,
Until you were completely withdrawn,
(You would never be free);
You were alone with a shotgun blast,
Baby, I will repeat the past,
(Will you finally be with me?)

Repeat Chorus:
My friend, where have you gone,
It's like a sad, sad song,
(My past is haunting me);
I need you by my side,
All I got left is my pride,
(I'm feeling bereaved).
My friend, where have you gone,
Alone, I face the dawn,
(I'm down on my knees);
I need you like never before,
But you're on that distant shore,
(Tell me what's heav-en-ly...)
