Epiphany

out in a field stretched to the limit
head tilted to one side
eyelids drift down not completely shut
seeing with ears, nose, fingertips, and toes
flexing muscles
a slight sigh
complete, full, deep breaths
lethargic, but not tired
a sense of profound happiness
perhaps contentment
the chirping, humming, rustling
the scent of blossoms, grass, earth: life
eyes drift open to gaze into the blue
a oneness, an identity with
whatever touches the hands and feet
left with a sense of something greater
something bigger
than what is known
what is felt
than what is seen
