Reflected Suffering.

by Hologram   Oct 19, 2009

A thousand voices crying,
So many young lives horribly wrong.
Perhaps even more should lay dying,
Even the silent ones are strong.

We know you exist, you suffer,
But you are all far from alone.
Are we so different from each other?
Because we are silent while you groan.

Strength is a brand of pain endured,
Facing life will never be easy.
If you imagine fame and grandeur,
I can see why reality makes you queasy.

There's nothing wrong with dreaming high,
If you have the will to match it.
If each time you fall, you quit asking why,
You'll never get close to grasp it.

Like a soldier, we each face a different life,
But our trials are somewhat similar.
Family, school and friends have strife,
To thousands your pain is familiar.

They would rather reflect on their suffering,
Then try taking another step forward.
While those up ahead sigh wondering,
How dragging out their pain is any reward.

So if your still pondering how you'll make it too,
Then find the strength to move past.
All the power in the world waits on you,
Because your life is within your grasp ...

I really liked the message that was portrayed in this piece, every body suffers; some in silence and some not. Wonderfully written with so many truths reaching out for us to understand. 5/5, Em
