Pseudo Accountability

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 20, 2009

Agreements come in many forms and amounts
Some are called covenants others accounts
Nearly all of them have terms and conditions
Laws or rules, interpretations and renditions

With terms and conditions come administrations
When the servants obey they receive congratulations
I've heard it said the masters make the rules
For the sake of the wise men and the fools

The war on ignorance can be won by Great commanders
If loyalty of the subject is lost the cause meanders
Lord help me to respect the ones in charge
So that evil may not reign at large

I loved the line "Lord help me respect the ones in charge" It seems that as a nation we are always at odds with not only the hierarchy, but divided by the illusion of someone else being in charge of our individuality. Well written.

I hate conformity so this poem is a perfect example of my logic haha.

Definately some true words in this poem, the ones who are highest up hold all the power while we play by their rules. No wonder the world has become what it is... Excellent job none the less and great flow and rhyming, you know I love that shit haha
