Love is beautiful & love can also be ugly right
down to the core. A strong message of hurt
as well as anger..take care.

I love the title of this poem and how the emotions you express fit it so well .... " A Lovers Imprint..." how a lover can do just that ... leave lasting imprints on our heart, Lol. It is a sad poem, written with deep emotion .... from the depths of a heart that is heavy and bereft. These lines are most touching...

"Heart's heavy door closed
compassion left for dead"

I also liked the progression of thought in the last verse of each line until finally you say....
"This is how you have left me..."

A sad write that you have expressed so well.. touching the readers heart. Well done.

A lovers imprint can do things to you, some good, some bad and those imprints will never leave. Well done.

I just loved the feel of last lines in each stanza... its so powerful.. the content of the verses could be felt in the last lines... very touching... I presume you are writing about betrayal of love... getting hurt by someone close... those scars don't heal easily...

Unfazed by your afflictions
corrupted love hides in revenge
safe from further addictions.
This is how you have left me.

just loved the ending... in these lines something pisitive is hidden ... some hope to live on... lovely lines...
