The End

by Daniel Milano   Oct 20, 2009

Lighting incense,
A smokey mist fills the room,
The fire is intense,
Igniting up in plumes.

A single portrait,
Posted high up on the wall,
Stoic face, so morbid,
Gazing down the hall.

A solitary man, lies,
On his death bed waiting,
The puppy dog cries,
As he see's his master fading.

Pain is excruciating,
Ready to greet primal death,
His spirit's recooperating,
As he breathes his final breath.

Emotions run deeper than a canyon,
As the nighttime prowls,
Lost his only sole companion,
The puppy howls.
