Sacred Discrimination

by Beautiful Chaos   Oct 21, 2009

Woman down upon her knees
To kiss the feet of love's disease
For what it gives, it does take back
Without warning, world gone black

Their saint, he took me by his side
Did not waiver though they cried
Sharing secrets, life revered
Such dealings spoke of all they feared

Do not stand beside a man
Punished for what Eve began
Witches burning at the stake
Rule of thumb, a heathen's take

Envy fills the hearts of those
Who wish to hide what we expose
Female vigor on the rise
Striking down religious guise

Books of old all locked away
Hiding facts from minds that stray
I wonder if they'll ever see
That life is born inside of me

This is really pretty, I don't know if i fully understand it but it seems like its about different religions and the struggle to decide which to follow.. I loved the ending powerful and if I understand it correctly the ending touched me in a personal way.. anyways great flow and the imagery was lovely as well... 5/5
