In The Wind

by Bill Turner   Oct 21, 2009

Friendship is like the wind
Blowing this way and that
Wandering the earth and heavens
Ultimately coming home
No matter where it may roam

Two souls lost in their lives
Living out the day to day struggle
Months and years may come to pass
When the siren song soulfully cries out
Like a thunderbolt the other has no doubt

Blowing back and forth
In and out of each others lives
Finding their way back
Always in the nick of time
Friendship never a crime

Let the wind of our friendship
Lift you when you are down
Guiding you on the path of life
Being the light in the darkest hour
Friendship will always give you the power

Oh my gosh I have soooo been behind on my reading and havent read a poem by anyone in over a year...I just so happened to pick this poem to read first since I've been more active and by golly im glad I read this..it made me totally miss reading your poetry Bill, I used to read a lot!!

I loved how you used nature as a simile...Winds, lightning...it was great!! I loved the way you penned out friendship in this! Great write!
