Forget Me

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Oct 24, 2009

I lace up my chucks and I throw on a scarf,
Who knew these cuts would leave more than just scars.
I prepare for winter winds to come burning through my veins.
To shake me to my bones and feel so cold again.

You put on your coat and step off the plane,
It's warmer where you are, but you still wish you'd have stayed
You prepare for memories to build drops in your eyes,
To shake you to your bones and feel so cold inside

We put on this fake mask, an invisible smile,
I think maybe we'll stay here in a humble denial,
Pretend to be someone, who we know we can't be
It's best if you don't remember, please forget me.
