Two Hearts

by megan   Oct 25, 2009

Two hearts worlds apart unexpectedly come together as one
they feel the blood rush through their arteries, knowing the racing has begun

Beating hearts alike feel the exasperated thumps of others consumed by the feeling
Only they can know how the pain is slowly healing

Two hearts collided from separate worlds entirely
growing stronger ever daily

When one heart must stray away the racing stops, and the blood clots
a heart attack commencing, hesitating, anxiously awaiting to be whole before the oncoming of rot

Lightly, the hearts continue beating, only enough to hibernate until they can reunite
Day and day, night and night, to stay alive without each other they fight.

Pumping, beating, racing, thumping all returns when these hearts from worlds apart collide again
These hearts awaken and continue on without longing and sorrowful pain

Their arteries are free of clots and the blood runs
hearts free too come together as one

Two hearts worlds apart
Worlds apart they become one heart
