Tic Toc

by Matt   Oct 25, 2009

Tic toc
I hear the clock
It is four in the morning
And outside it is storming
I lay here awake
With this pain I can not shake
Wishing I was dreaming
Instead of laying here screaming
No one can hear my plea
I realize this is all inside of me

Tic toc
I hear the clock
It is five in the morning
And inside my head it is still storming
Am I loosing my mind
I wish I could make time rewind
To a happier time
Back to when everything seemed to shine
I can not remember when that would be
For now gray is all I seem to see

Tic toc
I hear the clock
It is six in the morning...

Too many people understand this piece at various points in their life. In fact I know a few people closer to it now than they should be, I mean than I wish they were. You really described them all too well. Great job of penning your heart out here. And you did an excellent job of using repetition without it being too overwhelming.
