I am a Tapestry of Your Love

by Ray Smallshaw   Oct 28, 2009

I My Love I am a Tapestry of Your Love,

As embroidered on my brain is your name,

Stitched to my eyes is your fair face,

Anchor stitched to my heart is my Love for you,

Link stitched to my soul is my want of you,

Cross-stitched to my mind is my need of you,

You bind me to you by the sewing of a million threads,

Sewn on me over our years shared together,

That is why I am a tapestry of your Love.

That was a very unique metaphor. I really enjoyed the fresh feeling this poem gave. Originality is always nice to see. Well written.
