Missing You

I miss your touch,
And the way you used to hold me tight.
I miss the way you said "I love you." to me,
Before going to bed every night.
I miss the way you used to hold my hand,
And the way our fingers were intertwined.
I miss the way you looked at me.
After I told you I loved you for the first time.
I miss the way you teased me,
With those stupid jokes of yours.
I miss the way you were such a gentleman,
And how for the ladies,
You would always open doors.
I miss the soft smile that crept across your face,
Every time I held you in my loving embrace.
I miss how you'd laugh,
after I kissed you out of the blue.
I miss your honesty,
And how to your heart,
You'd always stay true.
I miss the way you would cuddle with me when I was cold,
And how you acted when I told you that you were the person with whom I wanted to grow old.
I miss your kindness,
And how you were always so clever.
I miss the way you always told me,
You would be mine forever.
I miss you,
And all the things you were about.
But now you're gone,
without a doubt.

Dedicated to Megan Houser.
In loving memory of Jason Jacob Morry. 1990-2007

It is terrible losing a loved one. You expressed your feelings in a beautiful way that, I believe, touches the reader's heart. Emotional and moving, very well written. 5/5.
