Once upon a time

Once upon a time there was a girl and boy
they were in love and full of such joy

Their love was a fairytale, until it went wrong
then they both had to try and stay strong

The girl loved that boy with her whole heart
and he never wanted them to be apart

But he broke her heart into a billion pieces, and he did it more than once
and still she gave him chance after chance

One day, that girl woke up, and realized what she had to do
she thought about the pain he continued to cause her, and she just knew

He woke up, and finally her words had meaning
"one day you'll wake up, and realize what you had"
and he got that gut wrenching feeling

Although it hurt her so, she left, and left that boy behind
suddenly it all made sense and all the stars aligned

Day after day he called, and she kept strong
but he bombarded her and convinced her she was wrong

That girl gave that boy another chance
and she had the slightest remembrance

He broke her heart once more
and the rain began to pour

Months went by without a word at all
slowly she was recovering from her fall

Suddenly she hears his name, it's every where
it's something she just cannot bare

She finds her self reminiscing on blissful memories
and she can't push them away as hard as she tries

Fighting back the tears, she tries not to think of the past
she feels herself falling fast

This girl must remember
the pain he so often caused her

There was a boy, who broke a girls heart again and again
she must remember that horrible pain

Not all fairy tale's end with a happily ever after
not all end with smiles and laughter

She loved that boy with all her heart
but still knows it's best to stay apart

Little is known of what might happen in the future
she's trying hard to stay strong, do you believe in her?
