The Body Knows

by Jamie   Oct 30, 2009

The Butterflies will fly away
Next your heart too will begin to stray
The tears he cries won't mean a thing
And the ones you shed won't even sting.

What he does is never enough
The late night talks get too rough.
You feel it in every bone
But you just don't want to be alone.

Thats how you know your through
Thats how you know its done.
When the body loses every clue
That ever made it feel like he loved you.

I like this poem, it is short but I like the premise. The flow is a little off, with some rearranging it could be great. Overall an enjoyable read, good work.

Indeed a sad poem from the very start. I loved how it led to its end. Nice work
