Annie the Rag Doll

by Lady Nik   Oct 31, 2009

Little Annie sits upon a wooden shelf
little black eyes stare out
she's broken all by herself.
Who would notice
this little ugly doll?
Who would miss her
if she were to fall?

Faded plain plaid dress
black stringy locks
worn out blue bow
with polka dotted tights.
Painted smile upon her face
the one inside has gone away.

What would you think
if I told you Annie was me?

A small toy left behind.
no longer shiny and brand new
I'm a waste of time.
Once a prized possession
now a meaningless nothing.

I was left here to rot
with all of your forgotten things.
Your favorite toy
I am no more..

Just little Annie wishing someone cared
a rag doll beneath your foot
I wish I was never here.

This is a really sad poem..and something many people will be able to relate to.

When we want people to love and value us, we fisrt have to learn to love ourselves..something that may not be easy, if you are the first one to do so ( I am referring to myself here).
I have found it is best to treat yourself like your own best friend..that way you will at least have one good friend who will fight for your best interest.

    Good job with this....

    God bless,

So very sad to feel you are no longer wanted and are forgotten by the one that loved you. Well done.
