Rose Angel (acrostics)

by Meena Krish   Oct 31, 2009

Radiant beauty guarded by auburn thorns
Opens her arms of love to a green world,
Sprinkling the gift of life upon earth which
Envelopes a dark forest with her morning glory.

Alas this princess a prisoner among thorns
No man can touch or feel her undying splendor
Grieves behind a lustrous smile of wonder,
Engaged to the deep roots of her past whilst
Languishing in her love when day meets night.

A highly original and enjoyable poem. I did also wonder if the Rose was a metaphor, either way well written.

Somehow this reads like one big metaphor about a beautiful woman, who is lonely in spite of her looks..something about a past haunting her?

I don't know, I could be wrong about this all, but the poem is beautiful, with or without a second layer hidden:)

    God bless,

    5/5 Ingrid

Love this. The Rose Angel, how unique. Two of my favorite things, roses and angels. Well done.
