The Wonder of Love

by Ray Smallshaw   Nov 2, 2009

Times perpetual clock draws us near,
Yet if it stopped my Love would cross its void,
As Love is older than time itself,
It can span an ageless earth,
Drawing our spirits close together,
As evermore you are held in my heart,
As certain as death itself my Love for you is all around,
In words remembered and in times shared,
In secrets kept, in our children and in our home,
Yet only time holds the proof,
Just how much my Love has encompassed your heart?
With its everlasting glow, however dim it grows,
It will always be there,

The wonder of Love.
