When it All Falls Apart

by Dee   Nov 5, 2009

I thought I knew you,
I thought you would stand for something,
Mean something

I stare now
In shock and horror
As you destroy everyone we know

And for what?
Do you get something by watching their lives fall apart
On your whim?

You expect for me to stand idly by,
As everyone else has for countless years,
And to simply watch your destruction and tell you that you are right.

But, what if you aren't right?
What if I refuse
To pacify you?

What if you have finally met someone with a backbone?
Who isn't afraid to confront you
And who isn't sorry when it happens?

Well guess what?

You are wrong.

And I'm not sorry.
