Jesse's Girl

by ibelievedhim   Nov 5, 2009

Laying by the fire,
Thoughts of you warm my heart
Wrapped up in blankets,
I think I've loved you from the start

Oh how I've missed
Your words, which are my lullaby
How I long to hear
Your voice, which makes me sigh

A man who cares,
Though he won't say it out loud
Lips form a smile,
Oh you have made me so proud

So blessed I am,
To have you in this lonely life
A friend I cherish,
Who has saved me from strife

I'm hurt to hear,
That you wish to go away
Frantic hands type,
Write words to beg you; stay!

For I've to say,
You have mended more than fences dear
A broken heart,
Slowly healing, no longer riddled with tear

Closing my eyes,
I'll let sleep set my worries free
My heart dancing,
I can only imagine...you and me

*I love you so much Hun!! You can never have too much cowboy in your blood, and I know one day I will ride away with you.
