Don't Make Designs on My Intelligence

by Larry Chamberlin   Nov 5, 2009

Proving God in the prisms of crystals
Is seeking Genie by rubbing bronze lamps:
The clarity and rhythm of the one
Match the empty splendor of the other.

Order governs the form of the cosmos;
Follows the lines of its basic structure;
Changes in the structure will yield order still -
Different, yet equally elegant.

Intelligent design finds evidence
In math, amazed that we have ten fingers;
Ignoring that had we prehensile tails,
We would count our toes and use base twenty.
