Standing On the Moon

by Alice   Nov 6, 2009

I wandered around losing myself
Stumbling down I found you there
Stars in your eyes and hope in your soul
You took me away and made me whole
I fell into you like stars in the sky
Drifting away without wondering why
I'm standing on the moon without you tonight
I'm watching the stars fly by me alright
Floating away like a current in wave
You're gone from me you're all gone away
Simply vanished from my eyes and grasp
Though in my heart I can still feel your love
I'm out here tonight in the cold dark air
Wishing to find you to show you I care
But tonight I'm still standing out here alone
I'm standing on the moon without you tonight
I'm watching the stars fly by me alright
Now it will end with the moon floating by
Cause I'm still standing on the moon
Still standing on the moon
I've got a lonely view of heaven
But I'd rather be with you

Not sure how I feel about this one...I almost feel like it needs more description and less vagueness. Comment me please!

~Inspired by the quote, Still standing on the moon with a lonely view of heaven but I'd rather be with you~

I actually love the little bit of vagueness in your writing. It lets the reader create their own emotion, therefore, making more of a connection to the poem. Great job!
