Moments

by Timothy S   Nov 10, 2009

I live for the moments which I hope to keep frozen
All the right pieces in place, each and every component
A glimmer of faith, trying to capture and hold it
Like a sigh of relief from being tragic and lonely
Looking in the eyes of compassion like the one and only
The mirror in this bathroom so true, yet so phoney
A happy lie in that face with each smile that's tolling
Adding up slowly the cost of my soul
So I will build up this mansion until it's unnaturally full
All of the memories I'd rather forget but sadly I know
Each is a frame, deeply implanted in my skull
In my sleep I place them so perfectly and dull
So a piece of them I'll take, being so plentiful
This is what happens in my dreams, well maybe just identical
