As you walked away with nothing to say
I turned and let my tears run down my face.
I hoped for you to come running back to me
Wishing you saw what I had seen.

I got on the bus headed to the west
I could've sworn my heart was ripped out my chest.
I saw your car still parked along the wall
And I saw your tears begin to fall.

We swore we'd never say goodbye
But when we did all I did was cry.
I never been so heart broken before
As I was when you walked out that door.

I thought I could change everything that was wrong
But all I could do is be strong.
You were my best friend and my girlfriend
But I guess I know we would soon end.
