I will heal

This is really gonna hurt,
there's much more tears to cry,
for my own dwindling health,
i bid you my last goodbye.

there'll be many sleepless nights,
questions going through my head,
but one day I'll be strong again,
forget all the promises said.

the internal scars will fade,
you'll be a bitter memory,
a long distant thought,
of i wonder what could be?

i look at little Lara,
she looks so confused and sad,
it must be so horrible for her,
being unwanted by her dad.

that glisten in her eye,
gives me strength to fight,
i have my friends to love me now,
leading me to the path that's right.

no matter how much you hurt me,
or how bad you made me feel,
I've used this to my advantage,
and learned that i will heal.
