My Lover

I have yet to shed a tear,
though I have lost someone dear,
once the realization sets in,
I will break within.

Decisions are made for the best,
despite the hurt and all the rest.,
but I cannot help to think,
I might need to see a shrink.

I need my actions to be clear,
going on a lone is what I fear,
I have an enormous need,
to have you by my side indeed.

I want to share your last name,
instead, at night I'll cry in vein,
at times I will regret my choice,
