The feeling is numb
nothing hurts and nothing feels good
right where i need to be
feeling only what i need

i see what attracts them
those sitting on the block
getting laughed at
i stand closer to the giggles

my body seems to be on hot
steam rises from my skin
i take another swig
i just burned my lungs

moving slowly
i am in tune with a song
not that the radios on
but i sway to the melodic melody

i slur the words that
aren't even in existence
and my sway
becomes a drunken fall

i am intoxicated

to the people...to the bottle
they respond in an eyebrow rise
