Simple as it stands this poem is about lost love
But in my heart I know it just fell from above
For all I felt, For all we knew
I trust in my heart that we knew it was real
Even when he killed me
When he broke my heart
I trust in some kind of way
I'm still with him in part.
For the days when he was kind and gentle
That's the way I'll remember him now.
Not the late nights sat up wondering
Not the nights that destroyed
That soft squishy bit that makes every day better.
Let's talk, you and I
This is not a poem at all this is simply the lengths I go
Telling my friends that's not an option
I don't love him for what it's worth
But you and I both know what it's like
That first kiss, first smile, first time.
The first time it all crashes and burns?
And doesn't it just make you feel smaller than you...
Thought possible.
Doesn't it make you feel weak and pathetic
Unworthy?
Let's talk, you and I
Get away from this world that makes us cry
Away from the boys, the family, the work
Get out on Aladdin's carpet and fly.
Fly so far we burn through the sky.
Let's talk, you and I
Where shall we go where shall we fly?
