My Eyes

I close my eyes, not knowing what to do
I can't sleep at night because I know you're not here.
No longer by my side

I open my eyes and tears roll across my face
I only want to see you again and tell you the things only you will understand

I close my eyes again and lay my head and heart to rest. Putting the prayer at the end of the day

I open my eyes again
And see only darkness
Because my world is empty without you
