When you first came into my life
Everything seemed to be okay
But now I have these feelings
That I can't ge o go away
When I have time to myself
Let alone to think
Thoughts of you come sreaming in
I'm too afraid to blink
Afraid that if I close my eyes
These memories will fade
I find myself fighting
What I feel inside
The way I feel about you
Is starting to get hard to hide
Everytime you tell me, those three little words
My heart skips a beat
I couldn't ask for more
As I'm coming to the closing
Of this little poem
I'm realizing more and more
What these feelings really mean
And even though it cannot be
The butterflies, the skipping heart
The emptiness when we're apart
