For You Mom

by Erica   Nov 18, 2009

I was once asked to write about my hero,
Back then I didn't know who that was.
If you were to ask me today,
I'd tell you about a woman I love.

She's strong, even if she doesn't know it,
And without a doubt shes' wise.
I know whatever I do,
She will always be by my side.

She's there for me,
Through thick and thin.
She'll cheer for me,
Whether I lose or win.

She wipes away my tears,
When I'm crying.
She makes me laugh,
When I fell like dying.

She holds me close,
When I feel scared and alone.
Her love for me,
Has always shown.

I was the wild child,
Back in the day.
I drove her crazy,
Put her in a haze.

But even after all that,
We've grown closer still.
And when I think about it,
I know it's God's will.

I love this woman,
With all of my soul.
She's always been the one,
That keeps my life whole.

So I just wanted to let you know, mom,
The way that I feel.
And that my love for you,
Has and will always be real.

So I just wanted to let you know, mom,
    The way that I feel.
And that my love for you,
Has and will always be real.

this is without a doubt my favorite part of the poem. the subtle change in the rhythym made this part stand out just enough to make itself known.

The poem on its own is also an impressively good representation of how you feel about your mother, good job
