Notice Me (Collab with Kiko)

by Lady Nik   Nov 18, 2009

Always,
I have been here...
alone... waiting...
in somber shadows...
faceless, unnoticed...
unimportant...
yearning, craving...
desiring.

How I love the way
your smiling eyes
change color with the
seasons...
...The way your
delicate fingers
strum that golden
guitar.

Can you not find
it in your heart to
notice me?
For it is I
who knows you
better than she.

For it is I
who loves you
more than she
could ever
hope to love you.

How I wish
you could hear
the beating
of my empty heart,
whenever you
draw near...

And see
the tears
streaming from
my longing eyes,
as you pass me
by.

I love you.

I
have
always
loved
you.

Wonderful collab by you both. I really like the theme you chose to write about. This happens to so many people. So I know a lot can relate to your words. The collab flows well and you both did a wonderful job meshing your styles. That is something hard to pull off in a collab.
    Excellent job!

This poem rises far above the average on this site and the wording is splendid, but..I am just stating my opinion here...there is something off in this story..he does not seem to know her that well, yet she obviously adores him..it is not clear from the story the two people described in the poem are involved in any kind of relationship..it seems to me as if this poem was written for the sake of writing something really beautiful ( in which you both succeeded) but somehow the words do not seem to express something really felt inside.

It was hard for me to explain exactly how this poem affected me, I hope my comment helps and is appreciated for what it is:)

    God bless,

It is sad to love someone and have these feelings that they don't notice you, no matter what and that hurts greatly. Nice collab.
