Im a mess, but im okay
i wake up with a smile every day
im truthful and sinful
all wrapped into one
i never purposely hurt anyone.
see im just a girl, who sometimes makes wrong desicions.
but i live my life,
with nothing but good intentions.
you cant look me in the eye
and see that i often cry
but you can hear it in my voice
and in my heart, the tears begin to form.
when asked if im okay
i often fake a smile,
then the tears stream down my face
i try to say "im okay"
as i quickly wipe them away
i cant let anyone see
that the pain runs deep
because nobody understands me
they dont know what to do
im so hurt and so angry.
i pour all i have into a heart
signed with his name,
it was built in regret
and its laced with pain..
will he hurt me?
i ask as if in vain
because thats all anyone ever does
and ill never be the same.
