What About Me?

What About Me? - Stanlee

You said you want to kiss my hands
For the poems they wrote.
I want to ask you something
Kindly do take note.

What about my eyes that long to see you everyday?
'Cause even when they see you they shed a tear.
What about my skin that yearns for your touch?
'Cause when I'm with you I want you near.

What about my legs which run to take me where you are?
However, when I stand before you they go numb.
What about my tongue which calls out your name every second?
But when I try to say something beautiful I go dumb.

What about my ears that long to hear your sweet voice?
'Cause only to your voice they want to listen.
What about my mind that thinks only about you?
It has made you its mission.

What about my heart which skips a beat every time I hold you?
Because it is the one that Loves you.
What about my heart that wants to sing a Love song for you each night?
Because it is the one that beats for you.

What about me, dear?
Cries out every nerve, flesh and bone.
Because it won't satisfy nor do any justice
If you kiss my hand alone.
