Flying with the forbidden

by Weeping Willow   Nov 22, 2009

Take me to the top
An avalanche of wonder
Take me to where the vultures can't reach
I wish to see the horizon
Void of obstructions

Call my name
And I wish to see
Those distinctive eyes
I wish to see your head
Resting upon my chest

I want to gaze upon
Things of the future
And things of the past
For they will contribute
A more gifted present

To feel
To feel the warmth
Of your body embraced
In mine
To know of something concrete

I had a rock
But I have cracked it
Weather worn and rotten
It chipped so easily
Clumsy me

I dream to feel whole again
Before, well, you know
The substance helps me get there
It engulfs me when your arms do not

My one goal is contentment
To awaken fresh
Not held down
By the gravity of life
To soar with the eagles
Not to scavenge with the crows
