i have something to say
whyy cant you look up
and not the other way?
Why cant you be
a mother to us
instead of hanging with a man
who drinks and cusses?
Why cant you see
the hurt in our eyes
why cant you leave him
why not be wise?
You say you love me
but whyd you let me go
your the only one
who actually knows.
People always tell me
you never had the gift
the gift of being a mother
you were never born with.
I guess its not my fault
you were never there
its not my fault that you couldn't care.
