New York the Beautiful

by Karl Wild GG23   Nov 24, 2009

Sky scrapers vanish into untouchable clouds,
People stroll the city amongst sardine canned crowds.
As if walking were illegal taxi cabs flood the street,
A jungle made from metal, steel and concrete.

Lady liberty guides the way watching over us all,
Best sports team they win every year in baseball.
Ethnic diversity that rivals any place on the planet,
New York is rugged, stable, unbreakable granite.

Countless city lights outshine even the stars,
Endless businesses, diners, boutiques and bars.
They even have the ocean in their own backyard,
What more could be asked for, maybe a green card?

Undoubtedly the best place in the world in my eyes,
Not because of the ocean, lights or skyscraper skies.
But for another incredible, breathtaking, heavenly view,
New Yorks the most beautiful place in the world....
Because it has you.
