A simple love

by Grant Gilbert AKA Slash   Nov 24, 2009

A simple love

Come sit my love, upon my knee
Allow my eyes to feast on thee
My hands know not where to touch
Confusion reigns it's just too much

I watch you move, about the room
Racing heart within the gloom
Twenty years and even more
Alluring now as you were before

Sometimes life just takes control
We drift away from childhood goals
Sometimes forgetting about your needs
Then try to right with manly deeds

Come sit my love upon my knee
I'll caress you love, so lovingly
These hands of mine will touch and tease
My love for you just flows with ease

Grant

Amazingly written, I liked it alot.
+ thank you for your comment, as you've noticed, I'm still very young, but I have a strong feeling about writing poems! I see you are more used to writing poems than I am so if you have any good advice or if you have noticed a wrong piece in my poems, I would really appriciate it if you'd tell me.
So thank you alot. and keep writing!

The rhythm of this piece is so very prefect. Not sure if you intended to or not but each line has either a 7 or 8 syllable count (except for 1 line has 9) but I really think the 7-8 syllable count made this piece flow so beautifully.

Beautifully penned, loving words from the heart.
Touching read that I'm sure will make many readers say "Awwww how beautiful"
