Grant, it's been awhile since your last post and you returned with a winner. This is so full of emotion. We do sometimes tend to take the one we love for granted and forget about their needs. We never stop loving them, just forget to let them know. The good thing is you remembered to tell her. Well done.

A beautifully penned piece. . That says so much. I loved it. Very touching, and so tenderly written. A winner indeed, I agree :)

You have been away far too long, Grant:)

From your poem one can clearly see how much you love your Elsie...nothing can beat growing old with the one you love, your soul mate.

Come sit my love upon my knee
I'll caress you love, so lovingly
These hands of mine will touch and tease
My love for you just flows with ease

    ^^

Well written, with so much genuine love and affection...she is a lucky lady indeed:)

    God bless:)

The rhythm of this piece is so very prefect. Not sure if you intended to or not but each line has either a 7 or 8 syllable count (except for 1 line has 9) but I really think the 7-8 syllable count made this piece flow so beautifully.

Beautifully penned, loving words from the heart.
Touching read that I'm sure will make many readers say "Awwww how beautiful"

+ thank you for your comment, as you've noticed, I'm still very young, but I have a strong feeling about writing poems! I see you are more used to writing poems than I am so if you have any good advice or if you have noticed a wrong piece in my poems, I would really appriciate it if you'd tell me.
So thank you alot. and keep writing!
