Precipice

by Sylvia   Nov 25, 2009

Tentacles of fear wrapped around a soul,
dragged closer to the precipice of nothingness.
War rages within, a destructive battle, Armageddon.
Thoughts of surrender, hover nearby,
waiting to extinguish the last vestiges of hope.
Ravaged by devastation, a soul is lost.
Final acceptance of darkness and death,
ghastly screams go unheard,
the grim reaper wins again.

A very dark and intense piece.

Ravaged by devastation, a soul is lost.
Final acceptance of darkness and death,
    ghastly screams go unheard,
    the grim reaper wins again.

Loved these lines. How many souls are lost and just lose hope. Wish more would fight to live. It's to easy to just accept the end.
    Excellent job!
